Higher Ground Dance

Completely out numbered by the men in my life, you can imagine how absorbed I can get in all things girly!!! My first (and only) girl comes along and the bows can't be big enough, things can't be pink enough and the finger and toe nails must be perfect at all times (pink of course)!!! So you can imagine my excitement when I was able to sign Taryn up for her first dance class. I'm not sure if I was more excited to take her to dance or to purchase the costumes, which she has 5! She absolutely loves going and I love taking her. Her dance instructor Tricia Hale (I don't know her married name) is amazing. She is so good with the girls and Taryn is learning so much.

Her cousin Emma is in the class with her and she is just a little too obsessed with Taryn. We were hoping the obsession would fade.........not likely! They must be partners at all times, and when Taryn is concentrating on her moves, Emma is never far behind.

She loves taking dance with Emma and loves her teacher Tricia. I can hardly wait for the recital. I will be the proud mom snapping shots with one hand and recording with the other!!!

P.S. Pop Pop I promise there will be some sports in her life......just not yet!!!!!

Hollin,
You need not even mention the Brown girls, of course I remember you! I can't believe how long it's been. I don't think we have talked since we were 15 years old (17 years, wow we are super old!). Oh how I love the blog world.
Your family is so darling! I totally understand this post about being obsessed with all things pink. I pull out all the stops for my daughter as far as princess', tutu's and such. My boys are so crazy! For so many years I was outnumbered. It's nice to have another girl in the home, finally! In my house we deal mostly in barbies and basketball. That about sums it up. Oh and my first 2 boys are 14 months apart so I am feeling you right now. This note is getting so long I probably should have emailed you instead. I am so glad that you wrote to me! I am going to keep checking in with you.

The cutest thing ever! Tricia is amazing. Lots of girls in our ward take dance from her. Taryn looks so so cute in her pink tutu. How fun for her and Emma.

Hi Hollin. I highly recommend a cali trip. We drove up highway 1 and ended in san francisco where we spent the 4th of july watching fireworks over the bay with the bridge in the background. It was the most fun I have ever had on a vac. I want to do it every summer but we cant really do that and go to florida for 2 weeks in november, it costs way to much money for 6 poeple. I am sure you can relate ,these kids are a fortune. I always tell everyone when they ask if I work I tell them we cant afford for me to work daycare would be too much. This blogging stuff is so addicting, dont you think?
