In December I took Jayden in to get his teeth cleaned. I have to explain to you that he is fanatical about brushing, flossing and brushing some more! I have never seen an 8 year old so into hygiene in my life. He also absolutely loves going to the dentist, what kid likes to go to the dentist????? Well of course not one cavity (NO cavities to date!!!) BUT....... Dr. Driggs (our favorite dentist) tells me that Jayden has an under bite that is affecting new teeth coming in and also affecting his speech!! UUGGGHHH, he then gives me the referral to a very good orthodontist! Now Scott and I both having to wear braces knew our kids were going to have to also, I was just planning on when they turn 12! So the process begins.........
He is such a good sport.....I think it helps that the Doc gave him a Nintendo DS! He has to wear them for 1 year and then he'll have to get them back on when all his adult teeth are in. It's better then the alternative, a $20,000 jaw breaking surgery!!
Taryn never wants to be outdone by her big Bro's! Jayden and Dallen are always getting on their bikes or electric scooters and heading to friends house's. Taryn always wants to go with them but we tell her she can't cause she can't ride a bike yet. The real reason is she is only "3", but we can't tell her she is too little because she goes into this rave about how she is a "BIG GIRL" blah, blah, blah!!! I was gone this afternoon and when I came back the training wheels where off and she was a riding like a PRO.
My little firecracker is a go-getter~!! Anyone who knows Taryn knows there is one speed on that girl....EXTRA FAST, from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to bed! She's quick and coordinated and keeps me on my toes! The LeBaron home this week has been a constant circus of fun and all this with me either laying on the couch or over a toilet!

Wow your two babies are going to be close in age! I too have a firecracker mine in named Sydney, she sounds very similar to your daughter, it's always an adventure with her.
Hey I just read your comment on my blog. We are in Pleasant Grove just north of Lindon and Orem. We have actually been in Utah for 10 years now (pleasant grove for 5), it's crazy to think that this feels like home.
he LIKES the dentist?!?!?!?! i haven't heard of a kid (or adult for that matter) liking the dentist, but he must be a dang good one to have a nintendo ds to play with, my kids might like him too! i love love the name taryn, our baby was almost named taryn, but the name teagan won the vote, she does seem like a little firecracker, how FUN!
Emma likes the dentist too - and she has an underbite too! My dentist told me to take her to the orthodontist when she turns 5 - not looking forward to that!
Taryn is so cute! She is definitely a live wire! I love it!

I can't believe that about Jayden....can he come teach my kids. They all brush for like 2 seconds, unless we are helping them. They ALL hate it. I'm so affraid of taking them to the dentist. I took Parker when he was 3 (2 years ago) and he had 3....I can only imagine what it will be like with all 3 going. ugh.
I can't believe that Jayden is getting braces already! Taryn looks so cute on her bike and I heard that your Mom and Dad have moved in. Talk about lots of change for you. How are you doing?
It is COOL to have braces when you are young.

Taryn is a firecracker. I love it. She is so delicate, but I know she'll be that girl that can be athletic & do it all, too!
